At first, I thought that this was a cute piece of well-meant kitsch - in the end I have to say that it is one of the better contributions to the discussion of environmental destruction that I have perceived in a fictitious setting recently. ... Visual- and audio design work well together to create a dense and coherent atmosphere that is not fully broken through the postmodern story.
Consider to join Underground Gaming on Lemmy; it's an early attempt to establish scene for non-market oriented indie games. Saw that you aim to make some bucks, but don't refrain: You are welcome.
Thank you for your time spent playing our game and writing this feedback.
It was sincerely one of, if not the best piece of constructive feedback we have ever received. We are thrilled that you made it to the end and you found the true meaning of the game and we are also extremely happy to see that you think of it as one of the best statements about the climate crisis you've encountered recently!
We are also aware that the gameplay has its flaws but if the game receives more attention like this we will consider of actively working on balancing it better!
Again, thank you for playing and for your awesome feedback and we hope to see you again in the comments of our future games!
I love it! I experienced two technical issues I thought I should mentioned. The "crashing sounds" of trees and bombs could not be heard. Also, the seed never lands, but the story in the discussion says it does.
Thank you for the kind words and the feedback! The game was initially made in 48 hours for Global Game Jam 2023, but we are planning on making updates that will address the issues you mentioned, along with other various improvements and additions.
